Did You Just Sniff My Hair?
Greetings take different forms all around the world. In some places, when you meet someone, it’s customary to shake their hands, in other places you share a hug, in some cultures, you greet people with two kisses on the cheeks, and in other cultures, three kisses are the norm. As we said, it differs all around the world.
In the Philippines, they usually greet family members with kisses on the cheek, which isn’t extraordinary. However, there’s another, unique variation. It’s also common for grandparents to greet their grandchildren by pressing their noses to their hair and giving it a quick sniff. Not sure how we feel about that. It would make us pretty self-conscious about our hair.
