Instant Warm Butter
Working with butter is a lot trickier than you might imagine. Leaving butter in the fridge will cause it to solidify and become hard to measure. Leaving it on your dining table or kitchen countertop will cause the butter to become too warm and release some of its butter juices, which sounds better than it actually is.
The next time you need, say, a tablespoon of butter for a recipe, just take a stick of butter from your fridge and place a cup over it. The cup will trap heat, which will eventually soften the butter and make it easier to cut into tablespoon portions.
