Extend the Lifespan of Your Bananas
The banana life cycle is annoyingly short. When you purchase bananas at the supermarket, it’s unripe and inedible for the first 18 hours. But when you wake up the following morning, the banana will look all blackened and bruised like it just finished a 12-round match against Iron Mike.
Luckily, there’s a cheap and simple way to extend the lifespan of your bananas. The moment you take your bananas home with you, cover the step (the part of the bananas where they’re all connected) with plastic wrap. Doing this will extend the banana’s lifespan by about 2-3 days.
