No More Domed Tops
If you’re going to bake a cake, one of the worst things that could happen to the final product is that it comes out of the oven with a domed top. The absolute worst thing is that it’s a soupy mess, but that’s another problem for another day. Let’s address the whole domed-top conundrum and how to fix it.
Before popping the cake mold in the oven, line the outside of the cake mold with a lightly moistened cloth. How it works is that the cloth will stop heat from burning the cake’s outer-edge to a crisp, allowing your cake to rise evenly during the baking process.
