Shaken Cream
Oh, no. Your spouse purchased whole-fat cream instead of whipped cream! How are you going to add a dollop of whipped cream on top of your dessert if all you have is a liquid cream to work with? Well, did you know that whipped cream gets its name from the fact that it’s just cream that has been whipped?
But instead of dirtying an electric mixer, try this trick instead. Pour your cream into a jar until it’s about half full, cover the jar with a lid, and shake, shake, shake it like Shakira. Check the consistency of the whipped/shaken cream every so often. If you shake the jar too much, you might end up making butter.
