Beat the Stains
Beets aren’t a very popular vegetable, and we honestly can’t understand why. They are so delicious (especially drizzled in balsamic vinegar!) and incredibly healthy. On top of that, they are a stunningly beautiful color. Add them to any salad simply for the “wow” factor they’ll create. But that color can sometimes be a strike against them, too.

If that beautiful red coloring gets on your hands when you’re cooking beets, it’s challenging to get off. Try washing the stain off with lemon juice rather than resigning yourself to a few days with red hands. Usually, the lemon juice works immediately, but allow your hands to soak in it for a few minutes if your red stains prove unusually stubborn.
