Don’t Stain the Tablecloth
Our grandmothers always pulled out the good tablecloths for special meals when we were growing up. Of course, that was the perfect sign that you needed to be on your best behavior. And above all else, it always means that you have to be a neat eater and not spill anything onto that tablecloth.

Fortunately, a spill during the meal doesn’t need to mean a definite stain. You can clean it up and make that tablecloth as good as new again. First, try to blot out as much of the liquid as possible. Next, mix two tablespoons of white vinegar, one tablespoon of dish soap, and some warm water and allow the solution to sit for 10 minutes. Then dab the mixture into the tablecloth, and your spill will disappear.
