Perfectly Boiled Eggs
Making a hardboiled egg is usually a quick and easy task. How difficult is it to boil a pan of water and gently place an egg inside? Unfortunately, the egg sometimes lands harder in the bottom of the pot than it should, causing it to crack. You have a weird mess of boiled egg whites floating around your water when that happens.

You can avoid this mess by salting your water ahead of time. The salt won’t stop the egg from cracking, but it will keep the egg whites mostly contained along the edge of your egg’s shell. So you can still enjoy your hardboiled egg without losing most of it in the water. Hey, it may look funny but still tastes delicious!
