Clean Your Hood
Face it. Your oven range screen is a filthy, greasy mess. That’s nothing to be embarrassed about, though. The screen’s job is to filter out the grease from your range hood. So if it’s gross and greasy, you should be thrilled because it means your filter is doing the job it’s intended to do. However, it still needs cleaning from time to time.

Boil some water in a stockpot on your stove. Add in dish soap and ¼ cup of baking soda. Allow your exhaust screen to soak in the pot for about 10 minutes while the solution breaks down the grease. When you take the filter out, you’ll be able to quickly wipe away the grease without scrubbing hard.
