Making a Layered Cake
Layer cakes are extra delicious because they have extra frosting hidden inside. Since the frosting is everybody’s favorite part of a cake, we firmly believe that all cakes should be layer cakes! However, how can you make a layered cake without buying numerous cake pans? This granny trick is the ticket.

You can bake a single layer cake in your pan, then slice that in half to create two layers. Insert toothpicks around the cake at even intervals. Using dental floss, slice across the middle of the cake while using the toothpicks as guideposts. You’ll have a smooth cut right down the center of your cake, making it easy to frost each layer.
