Save Our Irons
Have you ever been ironing your clothes and realized that you’re having difficulty pushing it smoothly across your clothing? Sometimes this happens if the bottom of your iron gets a buildup of residue. Unfortunately, this makes ironing more difficult and a bit more dangerous for your clothes because it increases the chances of an accidental burn.

You can remove the residue with one of your favorite household ingredients: salt. Grab a hand towel, place it on your ironing board, then sprinkle salt on top of it—next, iron over the salt with your iron set to the hottest temperature. The salt will break down any residue and minerals that have built up on the plate of your iron. Once your iron has cooled, wipe the salt away with a clean towel.
