Grease Fire Solution
Grease fires can happen to anybody, and they are scary. There you are, cooking a meal, thinking everything is going well, and suddenly your stove is on fire. Your first instinct may be to douse the pan with water, but that would be a terrible move. You risk splattering boiling oil all over yourself, and it won’t put out the fire, anyway.

Instead, reach for your trusty box of baking soda. If the flame is still somewhat small, dump the box’s contents onto the fire. If that doesn’t put the fire out, you can try smothering it by putting the lid over the pot. If all that fails, you can pull out your kitchen fire extinguisher.
