A Lie for a Lie
This one is downright adorable. I can only imagine her hiding her ears every time she lies as she gets older. I wonder if the habit will stick with her through adulthood. It’s tough to untrain yourself from your “tells” when you lie. This is definitely nurture versus nature parenting.

I have one daughter whose eyes get huge and another who always sticks her hand in her pocket and fiddles with the seam. Their secret is safe with me, though. Even their dad doesn’t know their tells. That’s a mom-only intuition! Even my kids don’t seem to know they do it!
