Blame it on the Monster
Let’s just be honest. It’s the MOMster that these kids need to watch out for. I just tell them the momster will come out to play if they don’t pick up their toys. It only takes once, and they get in line very quickly after that. I’m joking! (I’m not.)

Seriously, though, wouldn’t it be so wonderful if our kids were aware enough to just pick up after themselves? Take it out, play with it, put it away. It’s not complicated. We shouldn’t have to threaten them to make it happen. Sadly, that’s the state of things as a parent. You got to pull out the monsters every now and then!
