While you can be a ballerina in a diaper at home, many ballet classes do require a child to be toilet trained before joining a class because a poopy toddler doing pirouettes is the last thing anyone wants in their dance studio. I think it’s perfectly legitimate to point this out and use it for toilet training.

Personally, we used a star chart and a trip to the zoo, so really, whatever works without a breakdown is acceptable. Potty training is hard work! Keeping them excited, on task, and focused is only half the battle. Eventually, they have to be able to recognize when they need to go!
