Your theory in life might win the gold, Illiah, but all work and no play makes you a dull boy. The evidence is right here as if you’ve somehow tricked your kids instead of just giving it to them straight. We do need to work first to play later. It’s called… life. Some of us don’t even get paid for our work.

Dishes, laundry, dinner, and bedtime are all par for the course for a stay-at-home parent. The only way to combat it is to stay up two hours after the rest of the house. That’s how it is for most parents, anyway. Besides, we need to set an example for our kids – they look up to us.
