Always Fact Check
If there is one thing I’ve taught my kids, it’s to fact-check everyone and everything. Thankfully, this hasn’t turned around on me yet, but that’s mostly because I fact-check before saying something, and the ones who would argue are still too little to understand. I do carefully word quite a few things, though. Lies by omission don’t count.

I would have just made an angel cake in response to prove it to my kid and doubled down. “I don’t care what the internet says. LOOK AT THE CAKE!” I’d say a soufflé, but I hear that’s very difficult, and I’m not putting all that time and effort into something that I plan on failing at anyway.
