#2: Reading Time
Many of us love to get lost in the pages of a book. For people with ADHD, however, it can be hard to focus on the written word and get totally immersed in a story. These people always find themselves thinking about other things while reading. No matter how hard they try, they often space out while consciously reading each word on the page.
Their lack of attention doesn’t mean they hate reading. It could just mean that they have ADHD. Getting distracted is very common for people with ADHD. Obviously, if your attention is divided between reading and something else, your brain isn’t going to comprehend the meaning of the words you just read. For some people, it helps to read out loud or listen to audiobooks instead of reading silently.
