#44: My Favorite Song
We’ve all gotten a song stuck in our heads, right? Most popular songs are written to be catchy and addictive, after all. However, becoming so fixated on a song is possible that it goes beyond the regular level of adoration. One person shared that their ADHD brain gets fixated on song lyrics that they sing over and over again.

Sometimes, it gets to the point where they’ll start singing the song lyrics out loud repeatedly. As you can imagine, this can get quite annoying for everyone involved. A lot of neurodivergent people hyper-fixate on songs because of the predictable patterns or lyrics. It can be comforting already to know the pattern of sounds in a song, so it gets stuck in their head a lot more intensely than it does for other people.
