#15: to the Extreme
Emotional dysregulation and low frustration tolerance are two terms that are commonly correlated to ADHD. This person has always had difficulty regulating their emotional response to minor annoyances. They recently learned that their extreme reactions to small inconveniences are actually a result of their ADHD. For some people with ADHD, a small setback or challenge can trigger an overblown response.
According to WebMD, emotional dysregulation is an emotional response that does not fall within the traditionally accepted range of emotional reaction. This can manifest itself as outbursts such as yelling or crying. Low frustration tolerance is the inability to tolerate stressful situations or unpleasant feelings. Both of these things are common in ADHD and can be managed in several different ways and with consistent practice.
