#22: Such a Drain
This person shared that it is difficult for them to wrap up the final details of a task once the hard part is done. They usually feel mentally drained after doing a task they didn’t really want to do in the first place. So much so, that they can’t complete the final small steps.
Starting projects and never finishing them is pretty common among people with ADHD. Maintaining sustained attention can be difficult for a lot of people. Focusing on the hard part of a task can use up a lot of energy, which is why this person probably felt so exhausted after changing their oil. It makes sense that they felt too tired to finish the easy task of draining the old oil, and now it’s just sitting there as a new, dread-filled task.
