#28: DIY Queen
Sometimes a piece of clothing is too worn out to donate to Goodwill. That’s where creativity comes in! Someone suggested making cleaning cloths out of old, cut-up shirts or other knitwear. This is a great idea because a spare cleaning cloth will always come in handy around the house. It’s a money saver and good for the environment because your ratty t-shirt isn’t ending up in a landfill somewhere.

The same person who posted the tip about using old t-shirts gave some other valuable household tips. She suggested using vinegar in place of other, more expensive cleaning products. Plus, if you want to get crafty, you can experiment with making your own laundry detergent! There are plenty of tutorials online, and it can save a boatload of money.
