#36: Share the Road
This piece of advice isn’t for everyone and can vary depending on where you live. It’s still a great piece of money-saving advice, though! Biking and using public transportation to get around town can be a great way to save money. If you don’t have a car, biking and using public transit can save you the expense of buying a vehicle. Already have a car? Skipping the drive and taking the train can save so much on gas.
Of course, not all cities and rural areas in the U.S. have comprehensive public transit. Some jobs are impossible to bike to because they’re so far from people’s homes. It’s not a perfect piece of advice for everyone, but if it works for you give it a shot! With the price of gas these days, any money-saving advice is welcome.
