#5: Repurpose, Reuse
Before you throw something out because it’s “old” think about other things that item could be used for in your home. A lot of people use old toothbrushes as a cleaning tool after their bristles get too frayed to properly clean their teeth. They’re great for getting into tiny crevices and small corners, such as the grout between shower tiles.
Toothbrushes are strangely expensive, if you think about it. They’re just small pieces of plastic and we all end up spending a lot of money on them. You get more bang for your buck if you keep a few around the house for cleaning. It also cuts down on plastic waste because you don’t have to buy another cleaning brush and you’re not tossing the toothbrush into a landfill as quickly.
