People usually hear “budgeting” and immediately think, “Oh no, that means I can’t spend any money!” Making a budget doesn’t mean you need to deprive yourself of the finer things in life, though. There are some things in our lives that are worth the price for our own comfort and convenience. Making a list of these things can be really helpful.

Make a list of “worth it” items that you are willing to pay more for because you appreciate the quality. Maybe you have a name-brand shampoo you really love, or a more pricey toilet paper option that makes your tush happy. Account for the prices of those things in your budget and see where else you can cut back to make up for it.
