#16: Kids & Coupons
This person gave some chaotic advice, but she’s not wrong. She started off her comment by straightforwardly stating, “Don’t have kids. Seriously.” We get her point, though- kids are expensive! Deciding to have a child is a big lifestyle decision as well as a huge financial one. According to the USDA, it costs an average of $284,570 to raise a child through the age of eighteen.
That figure, by the way, isn’t including any college costs that might come along after they graduate high school. Yikes! Although this isn’t a concern for everyone, considering the financial cost of raising a family is an important one to consider when making that big decision. It’s worth it for some people, and for others, it’s not for them.
