We all have that family member who reuses the Christmas cookie tin to store sewing supplies, right? Well, they’re having the last laugh because they’re the ones with the frugal money-saving skills. Reusing empty food containers like coffee tins is a great idea for repurposing what you already have. Why would you buy those overpriced plastic storage containers from Crate & Barrel when you have plenty of storage options in your own cupboard?
Sure, reusing old containers might not be the prettiest or most aesthetic choice, but it sure is practical. Our grandmas, moms, and aunties do it, and they’re definitely on to something the rest of us don’t know about. They know if you come across a great box or tin, it’s worth keeping. It’s not every day you find a great storage container, so you better appreciate the ones you find and hold on to them tight.
