A country with as large a population as the United States is bound to have a vast spectrum of tastes and preferences, even when it comes down to music. America is a veritable treasure trove of music genres and is credited as the origin of the beloved genres of rock and roll, soul, and country music.

Despite most country music crediting southern states like Georgia or the Carolinas, it’s almost humorous that just Alabama, Virginia, and West Virginia listen to the genre on repeat.
