The United States is a lot of things to a lot of different people, but when thinking about it as a whole, many people come back to the land of opportunity or freedom. What about when we boil down each state individually? What are people’s perceptions of each state (if they can name more than just California, New York, and Texas)?

There are some side-splittingly hilarious answers to these autocomplete questions that we weren’t expecting. There’s clearly some sibling-like rivalry between Minnesota and Wisconsin, but we can’t stop smiling at the thought that people think Wyoming is entirely made up. Perhaps it isn’t the most interesting state, but it’s still there! But those states without any answer? Those aren’t real.
