Scary movies. We’ve all seen at least one and know the tropes, but kids sometimes can’t get enough of that specific formula. We don’t think this map can be all that accurate, considering that there are families that strictly adhere to the TV Parental Guidelines and rating system, but let’s give it a shot.

After a good laugh at the absurd choices, we still couldn’t figure out why Harry Potter was considered a scary movie; it’s definitely not a horror or thriller movie, at least. ET scarred some of us for life, so maybe don’t let young children watch that until they’re a little older.
