The next map shows the wealthiest Americans by state, but it means the wealthiest American originates from each state. Honestly, the color scheme isn’t very consistent because some deep red states should definitely be closer to white or blue based on the values listed, but who are we to judge?

Overall, this map must be pretty dated because we don’t see Jeff Bezos’s name anywhere. Move over, Maloof brothers, New Mexico is Bezos’ turf now. In some ways, we’re surprised there aren’t as many big-time celebrities on this list, but good for these people who can accrue massive wealth and remain in relative anonymity.
