#34: Tuna
No matter how you slice it (or package it), tuna fish is excellent for your health. Thanks to its fatty oils and omega-3s, fresh tuna steaks are a wonderful addition to any diet. But if you can’t afford to eat these regularly, you don’t need to miss out because canned tuna is a healthy diet staple.

Canned tuna also provides omega-3 fatty acids such as DHA and EPA, among other benefits. It’s packed with protein and is a good source of iron, which is needed to keep blood cells healthy. Tuna can also strengthen bones and prevent some cancers and strokes. But perhaps one of the most surprising benefits is that it can reduce depression! Should we call it the happy fish?
