#26: Tomatoes
Oh, the almighty tomato. There is more to this fruit (yes, fruit!) than eating it raw and sliced. Without it, we wouldn’t have pizza sauce, soothing tomato soup, or ketchup! Tomatoes are the center of all that is good in this world, so thank goodness they are so nutritious, too!

Tomatoes are high in antioxidants, making them one of the most potent cancer-fighting foods. They are also super anti-inflammatory, which is excellent for brain and heart health. We were surprised to learn that tomatoes are high in potassium, which is highly effective in lowering high blood pressure. So, eat all your tomato products, but watch for added sugars.
