Round Dog
We think this kid misunderstood the assignment at hand. Instead of circling “hero,” “worker,” or “companion,” they circled the instruction word “circle.” So, the full line reads, “My dog is a circle because … ‘he is round.’” They illustrated a sketch of a rotund doggie to accompany the line. Oh, kids. Everything’s literal to them.

Subtlety and figurative language are lost on them. Metaphors are nonexistent. Everything’s taken at face value with total, literal meaning. We believe this is one of the funnier answers on this list. Plus, that dog looks like someone blew him up like a balloon. He probably needs to see a veterinarian if he looks anything like this drawing.
