This engineer’s not having a good day. This question on an exam either bewildered this kid or they misunderstood it entirely. The query in question revealed an engineer designed an ocean liner “that would extract heat from the ocean’s waters” at certain temperatures. However, his “good idea” got him fired. Then, the student was asked to explain why.
“Because he slept with his boss’s wife,” was this child’s response, which received a “Jonathan … oh, dear!” from his teacher. Jonathan, get your mind out of the gutter! Although, for all we know, this dude might’ve got the boot because he fooled around with his superior’s spouse. It’s not so far-fetched. We’re sure there’s a more in-depth, scientific explanation, but this explanation is as good as any.
