In a bid to create an extravagant excuse as to why their math homework isn’t finished, this kid drew a massive walrus with an endearing note: “The walrus has lost its home due to global warming, and has chosen to reside in my maths book. I apologize for any inconvenience caused on his behalf.”

Hey, it’s a well-written, eloquent excuse. We’d give this kid points for creativity and imagination. It’s also laden with kindness and an affinity for animal welfare. Plus, global warming is a legitimate threat. To top it all off, it’s a nice, biologically accurate sketch. Who needs math, anyway?
