It’s Obvious
Here’s an obvious statement: Did you know that 1895 preceded 1896? We’re assuming this was a history test, and this kid probably answered this question incorrectly. The question in question – “What ended in 1896?” The child wrote, “1895.” Of course, this is true. If you’re judging this from a technicality standpoint, then it’s right.

1895 did, in fact, end in 1896. Well, one could argue it ended on December 31, 1895, at 11:59 pm. And depending on the time zone you’re in! The Anglo-Zanzibar War ended in 1896, but so did countless other things. The production of 1895-themed clothing and those New Year’s Eve glasses? We kid, we kid.
