In the pursuit of controlling population growth, China implemented the controversial one-child policy aimed at limiting families to having only one child. But the unintended consequences profoundly impacted societal dynamics. When families had the difficult decision to prioritize boys over girls to ensure their lineage’s continuity, they created a demographic time bomb waiting to explode.
Fast forward to the present, and we face a challenging reality: a surplus of men yearning for companionship while lacking sufficient prospects for marriage.
