#32: Video Game Inflation
Everything seems to cost more and more these days. Even free video games can cost an arm and a leg! Microtransactions are pretty common in free video games as a way for you to advance faster and for the company to make some money. Most microtransactions started off being a few cents or dollars here and there.
Now, it seems out of control! Instead of paying 99 cents for a fun extra level, you have to pay exorbitant amounts of money! Even worse, you pay the fees, and the payoff in the game isn’t that great. Instead of creating fun, mentally stimulating games, some companies are just in it for the upsell and the profits.
