#11: The Method that Never Fails
Whether or not you consider yourself tech-savvy, you probably use this method as well. This mantra has been around since the dawn of technology. It works for many things because it starts a soft reset, but be warned; it isn’t a good idea for some electronics, like laptops. Often, your computer freezes because it’s running too many programs at once, and you risk losing crucial work if you force it to shut down.
Still, phones, tablets, and other such devices benefit from this if you can get them to cooperate long enough to trigger a shutdown. Pro tip: to turn an unresponsive iPhone off (newer models only), press the up volume button and release, then press the down volume button and release, then quickly hold the lock button down until you see the Apple Logo. You’re welcome!
