#13: Do Not Try This at Home
As soon as I read this, I stood up to try it. I have to admit it added a few extra inches, but only because my head was lowered down. My hands didn’t make it any further than usual. Of course, in my mid-thirties, I wasn’t expecting much action either way. I guess I should start stretching more often.
Still, I’m pretty proud of myself for being able to reach my toes either way. After some research, it turns out that some people shouldn’t attempt this exercise, as it can exacerbate things like sciatica, and if not done correctly, overextend your calf muscles and hamstrings. Be careful trying this one!
