Don’t Wait, Ventilate
The electricity that operates your laptop is hot, and as it surges through your device, it heats every part around it. This heat needs an outlet so that wires don’t get fried, or worse, start a fire. That’s why you’ll notice that the bottom of your laptop has ventilation slats.
Never use your laptop in a poorly ventilated room that’s already overheated. That will be useless in allowing your computer to cool down. If you are ever inclined to work while laying on the couch with a blanket, or even better, in bed (and who hasn’t?), be sure to put your laptop on a hard surface. A blanket will smother the bottom of your computer.
