Use a Surge Protector
Electricity currents can fluctuate in your home. You don’t usually realize it, but sometimes there can be a great rush of electricity streaming in at once; this is called a power surge. If you have an electronic device plugged in when this happens, it may fry your device and destroy it.

That’s why it’s always a good idea to use surge protectors. They look just like power strips but have a little extra protection within them to reroute any excess power that may push through your lines. As a result, your device will remain blissfully unaffected as you continue surfing through the web like there’s no tomorrow.
