On or Off?
We spend most of the day looking on and off screens. We pop on for a quick check-in here and there, or if we are using it for prolonged periods, we may step away for breaks from time to time. So it would seem that the best way to treat our devices is to turn them off every time they aren’t in use.

However, that’s not necessarily the case. As it turns out, frequently shutting off and turning back on our gadgets can slowly kill them over time. So instead, the best course of action throughout the day is to put them in sleep mode for a while. This gives them a chance to rest a little without all the effort it takes to shut down and start back up again completely.
