34. We Should Have Thought This Through Better
Here we have a radiant cluster of joggers that accidentally sported tees that had turned the print into a visual pun running amok. The design, intended to be a friendly trio of smiling faces, has taken a detour down the torso and inadvertently become a topographical map highlighting peaks and valleys they maybe didn’t mean to highlight.
This isn’t so much a running shirt as it is a running commentary on the perils of abstract art on apparel. We came for the marathon but stayed for the inadvertent anatomy lesson. With every stride, they bring new meaning to ‘supporting the girls,’ making us ponder if this was a stroke of marketing genius or just a stroke of luck.
