#24: Grandma’s Sketchbook
Finding your grandma’s old sketchbook must be amazing. This is a great-grandmother’s sketchbook from 1924. It sounds like a discovery is usually made in movies, right? Back in high school, she made sketches of her teachers and even wrote down their names. There’s a Mr. Parker, Job Trotter, Mr. Bob Sawyer, Jingle, and Sergeant Buzfuz.
Can we all agree that grandma is a natural talent? If she could sketch images like this in 1924, we can imagine she must’ve improved dramatically over the years with all the new tools at her disposal. We hope she continued sketching as she grew older! The sketches resemble and remind us of characters from a Charles Dickens novel. We think these characters should be made into film characters or animation.
