This saying comes from the story Ali Baba and The Forty Thieves, which later morphed into Aladdin. This person suggests that the famous word is “Open Says Me” which, when you consider it, actually does make a little more sense than saying “Open Sesame” – because what would sesame seeds have to do with anything?
