Hold Your Horses
You’ve probably heard the saying “hold your horses” at least once in your life, probably when you were about to do something where you would get ahead of yourself or about to lose your temper. But when you used it, the reason why you used it was probably the last thing on your mind.

Hopefully, this fun fact explains a little better the meaning behind the notorious saying. As this person suggests, telling someone to hold their horses is referring to a stable (and telling someone to be stable) because that’s where you would literally hold your horses. It’s pretty funny, and slightly passive-aggressive when you think of it. We’re not sure this is right, but it’s a fun explanation.
