#31: A Broken System?
Everyone has one idea or another about how to make our society a better place. Poverty is a huge problem in many countries, and well-meaning people try their best to help. However, donating money and leaving a good tip doesn’t solve the actual problem of low wages and lack of financial stability.

A lot of companies don’t raise their base pay because they use tipping as an excuse. Why pay their employees more if they’re going to make it up in tips? Some people have a similar critique of charity. Why have a few people donated money when we could all contribute to the financial wellness of everyone in society? Charity and tipping are nice, but wouldn’t it be nicer if everyone were able to achieve financial stability in a different way? It’s such a complex topic!
