This fun fact can get a little confusing. Some people insist that there are 216 stitches on each baseball. That’s technically true. There are 216 single stitches and 108 double stitches. It all depends on how you choose to count them. In addition, all baseballs have bright red stitches to help hitters decipher the spin of a pitcher’s throw.
